recently came across your repository, LLMs4OM, and I am very impressed with the work you have done in leveraging large language models (LLMs) to facilitate ontology matching. The high precision demonstrated by LLMs4OM in your paper is particularly noteworthy.
I am currently working on a project that involves mapping free-text phenotype descriptions to a given ontology system, such as the Experimental Factor Ontology (EFO). We often encounter various trait descriptions in free text format, and a reliable method to accurately match these to the appropriate terms in EFO would be incredibly valuable. Additionally, we have unique IDs from one ontology and need to align them with another ontology system to combine our data effectively.
Could you please provide some insight into whether LLMs4OM is suitable for this purpose? Additionally, if LLMs4OM is not designed for this specific task, do you know of any other tools or methods using LLMs that could be applied for ontology mapping?
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Yue
