Customising home page posts.

I'm using this theme for my UX portfolio. I'm almost done editing as how I like.
I want to show my case studies on the home page as the documentations are shown also I want to create two columns instead of one, is it possible?

I'm pretty much stuck here. I can't seem to find how to customize the home page.
Can anyone help with it?
