Global notifications

What do you think of a notification, maybe similar to the Messages with the "(1)" , when someone follows you? Then once you click on the "Followers" menu item the notification is removed. Just an idea.

Great idea! Maybe we can make the notifications global. So that they can be reused for other purposes (the way it's done by Facebook).

If we want to make the notifications global we should consider to merge this issue with #97, so we don't have duplicated issues.

I was planning to implement simple notification for post for time being.
For messages unread is seen in the messages side pane so notifications might not be needed.
