My name is Camille Modeste. I am a student from CentraleSupélec school of engineering. I made this website to tell you more about me, and to carry out a few personal projects.

The tab "experience" features my professional experience, as well as my education, and miscellaneous projects I took part in. The third and final tab, named "Data Biz Viz", is going to be a business case study I imagined, based on data from the website Blablacar.

Why am I looking for a job in data? In the year 2018, everybody was talking about data. It was said that it could provide great insights on someone's business, that it could predict people's actions. I wanted to know how the magic was done. So I took a few classes in Big Data. It wasn't magical, but our datasets were not "big", and our means really limited. So I applied for internships in data teams, to see how different it could be in the business world. Still no magic, but a whole world of jobs I didn't know : data analyst, data engineer, data scientist, are just the tip of the iceberg. I am still curious about data, and I feel that there are still a lot of things that I don't know about it. And I am eager to learn.

I attended a conference in 2018, from a man who used to work for the GIGN, Bernard Thellier. At the end of his speech, he said : "One day, I woke up to go to work, and I told myself "Why ?". That's how I knew I should stop my career in the GIGN : I cannot be the best at my job if I'm asking myself this kind of question.". I don't want to find myself in that kind of situation. That is another reason why I want to work in an innovating and challenging field like data.
