Related problem

We are pleased to announce the release of version 2.0 of the BIDS Validator.

[…]The validator has been completely reimplemented and shares no code with the original validator.

[…T]here are no plans to continue maintaining the legacy validator. Its behavior will inevitably diverge further from that of the schema validator, and eventually it will be difficult to get the validator to run, as the Node.js ecosystem moves on.

BIDS Validator 2.0

Proposed feature

Replace BIDS Validator 1.14.6 with BIDS Validator ≥ 2.0

Acceptance criteria

  • BIDS Validator version in container is at least v2.0

Alternatives

No response

Additional context

This doesn't need to be included in the current release cycle.
