minions not working

Minion recipe does not work, when I give a minion to myself through command and place it, it just places the head(same happens with pets). Also the minion in the start island isn't there. I saw that there was another post on this topic. Which jar file do I have to attach?
On another note, when I go to reforge it tells me
"NONE
There are no available reforges that can be applied to this item!"
I've tried it with armor, swords and talismans and it gives me the same message
