How easy would it be to get analytics for the NYMS website?

I believe we had https://matomo.org/ previously, as I saw references to piwik in the code, which is their tracer. @Thaxteriella will know more than I on that front.

What exactly is the need for analytics on our website and what are you wanting to track exactly?

I would love to understand whether people are actually using the website for lecture info, walk info, ID session info (to make sure that updating them is worth the time it takes to create).

I would also be very curious to see what other sections of the website are getting visits.

Potential insights into where people are coming from (direct, links, social?)

Demographics would be amazing but that would involve Google Analytics

All in support to make the website even better and more useful

Understood. There are quite a few options available. I do believe most of them tie into Google Analytics though.
