@ledm Great, thanks for letting us know! We actually think about getting marine reanalysis data into ESMValTool (starting with ORAS5) but this is still at the very beginning. Else I currently use CRU, ERA5, MERRA2, NCEP-NCAR-R1 (droughts: precipitation and variables related to potential evapotranspiration). For ERA5 I don't like the gap between hourly and monthly data, would be good to have also daily (without the need to download hourly and calculate daily). |

Hi @ESMValGroup/esmvaltool-coreteam and others,
In a couple weeks, I'm going to be attending a Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS) workshop on the future of marine reanalysis data: http://marine.copernicus.eu/ (Maybe I'll see some of you there?)
My role is present the needs of the CMIP marine BGC analysis community, but I'm keen to add a wider perspective from ESMValTool developers and users. Could you please let me know:
Like I said, my focus in marine reanalysis data, but I'm keen to hear about other datasets.
Thanks!
