for a while now we have had a universal top nav bar that unified the projects under "Dronecode", I have a feeling it's not really adding any value, and combined with the fact that it's practically out of our control (we have to go through our LF IT hosting provider for fixes) I propose we remove it.
Here's a list of sites that still have this navbar:
MAVSDK
QGroundControl (Site, Docs, and Dev Guides)
MAVLink
MAVSDK
MAVLink
QGC

Just FYI this is a wordpress theme addition on the main sites. It is a gitbook theme for mavlink, mavsdk, qgc docs (while it looks different on mavlink, it is the same theme, so no extra maintenance).
It used to be the same on PX4 docs but we moved to vuepress and now this is handcrafted:
My thinking
I see little value in the QGC website at all. We could dump it and just have the docs. Though that might be a question for Don.
A header is fine if it is consistent. A bit rubbish if it is not.
We will probably end up keeping a least some links anyway. For example, PX4 docs are always going to see value in linking to QGC, and probably also to MAVSDK. Maybe not MAVLink though, since MAVSDK is really the best way to do that. Similarly, QGC doesn't care about MAVSDK links much, but should have links to PX4 and ArduPilot.
Upshot. If we're not going to invest in consistency then yes, we should remove it. Perhaps a dissussion about what cross links we want to retain (via the normal menus) first?
