Extension is not redirecting to checkout page on mobile phones which ends in double transactions. OC[2.2.00]

So I had the issue that certain customers had made double payments with the module and i was wondering why that happens. I am not yet sure how to properly debug this but apparently it only happens when you are on a mobile phone. It seems that the redirect is not working properly and it shows the "checkout/checkout" route again although the transaction passed and you even get a order confirmed mail.

We also have the problem that more and more double bookings are being made. We haven't found the error yet, but it sounds logical that this is happening with orders from mobile devices. Is there no feedback from the developer? The question was asked in March.
