Just wanted to see if anyone else has used the Echo Meter Touch 2 bat detector for use with Deepsqueak?
I have been using the small device that attaches to my android phone and listening to my mouse's USV's and I am amazed at how easy it is to listen to my rescued male mouse (Mus musculus musculus) interacting with my 2 domestic female mice of the same species and the male mouse's rescued sister.
I am able to let the mice interact and follow the male mouse with my cell phone + bat detector. The detector converts the usvs to the audible range and the echo meter app on my phone shows the spectograph. When I begin to hear my mouse vocalizing, I press the record button and it records the audio and spectographics. I have then been feeding this data into deepsqueak (with which I am an extreme Newbie) and I have been able to isolate and denoise the calls with very few false positives.
Now I am just confused as to what I can do with the data, but I am still learning and will reach out if I have any specific questions or problems.
