Chris updated the version of npm on his remaining laptop.

Currently the API doesn't check whether the resources have been "used up". We amended bookingItems.api, but there is still work to do, so we haven't checked it back in.

We might need to reconsider the calendar interface because it doesn't seem to be optimised for our use case. We could build our own.
