Twidere is currently broken: TwidereProject/Twidere-Android#1486 but is still recommended as twitter app in your list.

There is a newer version called Twidere X, but that requires your own custom API key from Twitter.

The app I would recommend to replace twidere with is squawker. it is a fritter fork that works with current API and doesn't need sign-in. https://f-droid.org/packages/org.ca.squawker/

It has options to save data such as by preventing image previews from loading automatically.

I have not tried using it with TOR or a proxy to see if it leaks
