+ Check if you are on CGNAT +
Sign in to your router and locate the WAN IP address.
If the WAN IP of your router is within any of the following ranges, you are on CGNAT:
- 192.168.x.x
- 10.x.x.x
- 172.16.x.x to 172.31.x.x
- 100.64.x.x to 100.127.x.x
If your WAN IP is outside these ranges you might not be on CGNAT but do verify if the WAN IP in your router matches the IP shown on https://ipv4.icanhazip.com. If the IPs do not match, you are on CGNAT. Port forwarding may not be possible without acquiring a static IP from your ISP.
Solution: USE VPN
VPN is a virtual local network over the internet. It removes any need to port forward on routers, and is in some cases the only viable option if port forwarding isn't possible. Or you're behind a CGNAT
+ Best VPNs to use for hosting Fika
Radmin VPN or ZeroTier (Both are free)
Avoid Hamachi if possible
