Issues with individual compatibility tools

ProtonUp-Qt is only an application for installing and managing the individual compatibility tools, but not responsible for running the games or apps. If you have problems with one of your compatibility tools, please take a look at the issues page of the individual compatibility tools. Note that they are developed independently from ProtonUp-Qt and not affiliated.

You can tell whether the issue is related to ProtonUp-Qt when it happens while using it. If the issues occurs while starting or playing a game, the issue is related to your compatibility tool, launcher or your operating system.

In that case, you should proceed by trying to find more information about the issue. You can do so using Google and by looking at the issue pages of the individual tools. You may find someone else there who has the same probably and hopefully a guide how to fix it. If you don't find anything, check if your operating system is updated and everything is installed properly. Configuration and installation problems can often occur with less common Linux distributions. If you are using an unmodified Steam Deck, you don't need to worry much about that. You can proceed by opening an issue at the sites for the individual compatibility tools or their respective support chats. See below for links.
