Code of Conduct for the FastStream Project

The Pledge

We pledge to make our community a harassment-free experience for everyone.

We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to a welcoming, diverse, and healthy community.

We will follow the guidelines below, and the law, to ensure that our community is maintained in a respectful and professional manner.

Our Standards

  • Empathy and kindness, especially when dealing with differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
  • Respect for others' privacy and personal information
  • Constructive feedback and criticism, not insults or derogatory comments
  • Responsibility for our actions and the consequences they may have on others
  • Justice and fairness in all interactions
  • Curiosity and a willingness to self-improve and learn from others

Absolutely unacceptable behavior include, but are not limited to:

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or email address, without their explicit permission
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

What if I see someone violating the Code of Conduct?

If you see someone violating the Code of Conduct, please report it to [email protected]. We will investigate the issue and take appropriate action.

What if I need help with a private matter?

If you need help with a private matter, please contact [email protected], and we will do our best to help you. Historically, we have been able to help with a variety of private matters, including but not limited to: Bug reports containing private information, privacy/security concerns with potential vulnerabilities, and accessibility needs.

If I have a bug report relating to sensitive, or embaraassing information, what should I do?

If you have a bug report with sensitive or embarrassing information, please contact [email protected] with the subject line "Sensitive Bug Report". We will do our best to help you and keep your information confidential.
