Simple Memory (SM) Test

Issues

1. The recognition phase was missing from some testing sessions - is this a glitch? We need to make sure all of the iPads include the recognition phase for the SM test.
2. Sometimes it says the result is incorrect, even when you put the correct answer (the results page shows it as incorrect)
3. Sometimes it says the result is correct when it is not one of the items that were shown.

Improvements

• The keyboard should automatically open up during the “recall” phase of the test

• After typing in the answer on a test, there should be an “enter” button that takes the patient to the next blank space

• During the recall phase, when not all fields are entered, participants face a “Warning” message. Please remove this message and allow for participants to continue with the tests even if all fields are not entered. Participants may not be able to recall all items.

• Include an “I don’t know” button for each object entry so patients do not have to include an answer for each object

• Remove the results page after completing the task

• Add pop-ups before each phase of the test with instructions for that task:

• 1st pop-up (Learning Phase): You will now see a series of objects, please name each object as they appear on the screen.

1-min Delay --> Orientation task embedded for the "Quick Start" mode

• 2nd pop-up (Recall Phase): You will now type in the names of all of the objects you remember seeing in the images of the Simple Memory Test. If you don’t recall some of the objects, select the “I don’t know button”.

• 3rd pop-up (Recognition Phase): You will now see images appear on the screen. Touch the image that you remember seeing at the start of the task.
