Investigate using ReadTheDocs for hosting

Advantages:

don't need to configure Travis deploy to gh-pages which is an additional step for package creators and introduces a lot of commits to the gh-pages branch
can host multiple versions of docs simulateously (i.e. stable, latest, v0.5)

Requirements

not introduce additional complexity for package creators
be able to host projects as subsites (i.e. www.common-root.xyz/BTB, www.common-root.xyz/ATM)
