I had the following happen:

  1. I had an M4 in my assault rifles slot.
  2. I finished Supply & Demand which stole my weapon.
  3. Despite this, attempting to pick up a M4 pickup showed me "Press L1 to replace the weapon...".

This happened on the PS2 with a v3.00 release, could be fixed on PC.
