SA: Wrong color depth for intro screens #106
Comments
You seem to be using custom videos. Isn't this just how they are authored? |
No, the same thing applies when using the vanilla videos. |
It has something to do with ddraw, since I get the same result with SA without the ddraw patch. |
San Andreas vids player is a poorly understood thing that doesn't work most of the time, but it's possible that maybe it's also misconfigured. I'll keep it open, but those movies are extremely low priority as-is. |
i cant reproduce it do you play under Win 11 ? |
Yes, I play using Windows 11. |
I really can't reproduce it either i have Win11 24H2 too Do you have AutoHDR on? when yes make it off I have installed all the codecs that Microsoft has in their store for reinstalling "https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/codecs-in-media-player-d5c2cdcd-83a2-4805-abb0-c6888138e456" and my graphics card setting has color management set to RGB and the highest bit setting |
I'm getting this as well on Win 11 24H2, and I do recall having it happen before upgrading as well. For some reason, dropping the SilentPatch DDraw Component in (even though it's for GTA III & VC) seems to fix this. |
San Andreas:
Vice City:
As you can see, San Andreas has more of a matte black look than a pure black look like in Vice City.
