First: probably everyone knows that if you zoom the map in the menu, half a lifetime will pass before the map zooms to the required size. I think it's a bug, but who knows
Second: if possible, add support for palette texture formats. A very useful thing when the quality breaks in DXT, and in BGRA it weighs too much. (interesting point - the "txd" folder easily reads textures in the pal format)
Third: support for mipmaps for player.img (if possible)

I think this works okay at 30 FPS and so it's probably a FPS bug (which is more in scope of FramerateVigilante)

My laptop is pretty weak, I have a good menu if 30 FPS, maybe less. As I understand it, it also does not depend on the screen resolution, which is long in Full HD, which is long in 640x480

You almost certainly have more than 30FPS in the map menu. Zoom works fine at an intended framerate, so it is highly likely that.
