When opening user's profile I see an option to follow them but it does not work. Is this to be implemented in the future or a bug?

Steps to reproduce

  1. register a new user (e.g. user_a) from the register screen
  2. log out
  3. register a second user (e.g. user_b) from the register screen
  4. while logged in as user_b, view the profile for user_a
  5. try to subscribe to user_a as user_b

@adnansalik, sure. In order to reproduce this issue, you will need to first create a development environment as per the instructions in our contributing guide.

Once the development environment is running, you can

  1. register a new user (e.g. user_a) from the register screen
  2. log out
  3. register a second user (e.g. user_b) from the register screen
  4. while logged in as user_b, view the profile for user_a
  5. try to subscribe to user_a as user_b

@brylie this issue is beyond our reach for now, we need to test it with the UI and the UI is massively failing.

@brylie I think we need to make this issue as a priority issue and work on your UI, it is broken and it needs to be fixed

Pr #1150 was merged recently, fixing the broken UI issues.

Out top development priority us issue #1129

This issue may be addressed as part of the Backbone to Django templates migration. It isn't necessary to fix broken Backbone code since we are trying to remove it.

Hello, @brylie. May I work on this one?

Ops, I just saw that it already has an assignee.

@silvarthur thats alright, currently we are working on resolving backbone related issues, then we'll have to fix CSRF issues to resolve this (most likely that'll be our track)
