I propose we add a timer system to CiviWiki Threads to create more urgency.
For editing, I propose a timer that limits how long new civies can be added to the thread. A the end of this timer (set in days by the OP) no more editing can occure. We might consider ading in sharing features to promote the discussion, or add another tab to our feed pae allowinng you rto search for active discussions, or open votes, etc.
For voting, I propose a second timer which runs for a period at least 1 day longer than the editing timer (set by op). At the end of this period, it would be interesting to generate an automated form with voting data for each legal voting district and send that data to each representative. We could also notify each contributor of the results and let them use it as they will. We could close voting at this point, or allow it to continue to tally (at the choice of the OP). If it continues to tally, we would need to continue to update the voting data page.
I'm looking for feedback on this concept. If it has merit, we could create a more detailed description for development purposes.
