Can't speak about a project I have no knowledge of, but from a cursory glance I'm pleased that Fabric have a multi-format library now.
As for a project status of sorts - I think hiatus would be the appropriate word. I recluded myself from large swathes of the modded Minecraft community after an extended period of drama and high-tensions, and haven't found any motivation to work on these projects for a long time.
Fortunately the project isn't in a horrendous position, other than being in the middle of new major versions - but Lorenz 0.5.x is pretty good.
I have been thinking about this project (and many other Cadix libraries) as of late, thinking of what was good, what wasn't - what I'd do differently, etc. I don't think it would be neccasery to rewrite any projects, but maybe defer to more established and capable projects in certain areas (for example I know that @DenWav was working on some very capable tools for inherited mappings).
