Problem:

The madmom package has a lot of deprecated code with numpy. I fixed it in most places. But unfortunately I am unable to fix the error below, it seems that the error is in cython file: "madmom\ml\hmm.pyx", line 191, in madmom.ml.hmm.TransitionModel.make_sparse. I am unable to access and change the .pyx file. Has anyone else faced the same issue?

Error:
tm = BarTransitionModel(st, transition_lambda[b])
File "C:\Users\anujn\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python310\lib\site-packages\madmom\features\beats_hmm.py", line 403, in init
transitions = self.make_sparse(states, prev_states, probabilities)
File "madmom\ml\hmm.pyx", line 191, in madmom.ml.hmm.TransitionModel.make_sparse

raise AttributeError(former_attrs[attr])
AttributeError: module 'numpy' has no attribute 'int'.
np.int was a deprecated alias for the builtin int. To avoid this error in existing code, use int by itself. Doing this will not modify any behavior and is safe. When replacing np.int, you may wish to use e.g. np.int64 or np.int32 to specify the precision. If you wish to review your current use, check the release note link for additional information.
The aliases was originally deprecated in NumPy 1.20; for more details and guidance see the original release note at:
https://numpy.org/devdocs/release/1.20.0-notes.html#deprecations

Versions:
madmom: 0.16.1
np.__version: 1.24.1
scipy.__version: 1.8.0
