Views formatter is broken with D8 core 8.5.x #2

Views which use the 'XML Transformed to feed' formatter are broken after updating to D8 core 8.5.x.

The view is only working, when we add an '?_format=xml' to the URL of the view.

For example:
https://staging.harpersbazaar.de/rss.xml (broken)
https://staging.harpersbazaar.de/rss.xml?_format=xml (works, but very unsable)

Perhaps the formatter needs only to set value for formatter to get working again.
