  • Detectors are critically important
  • TLSE is critically important
  • Need to characterize the detector because pointing is so bad
  • Si Grisms are a great idea
  • IR is tricky due to cooling -> stick to where you don't need to cool, but:
  • Cooling could be an interesting tech demo if science demands longer wavelength
  • One great experiment and not more than one or two tech demos
  • Consider a "Team X" or "Tiger Team" activity where experts review the idea over a day or two
  • Telluric absorption is a good reason for space
  • Chances are there will be a call for a bigger mission, maybe next fall or later?
