Problem

QGIS currently has the plugin https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/SpeciesExplorer/

Can you take a look at it and see if the functionality is the same or what differences exists. Maybe they could be scope to colloborate.

I know the two plugins can coexists but it would be nice if the two could find common ground and merge

@NyakudyaA: thanks for reaching out!

https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/qgisgbifapi/ is actually this plugin. About the collaboration with SpeciesExplorer: maybe, the main issue is that I no longer work for the Belgian Biodiversity Platform and have unfortunately zero to little time available to work on this for the moment.

according to https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/qgis-user/2024-August/054728.html current version does not handle proxies.

@NyakudyaA is species explorer handling those?

I also would be interested in seeing the difference / merging between the plugins
