Please consider publishing core assemblies as nuget packages; to allow developers to build dependency injected DataTransfer providers without the need to replicate and reference the source:-

Microsoft.DataTransfer.Basics
Microsoft.DataTransfer.Extensibility
Microsoft.DataTransfer.Extensibility.Basics

etc

Publishing the Microsoft.DataTransfer.Interfaces assembly as a Nuget package is a great idea. This would help with the ability to build new extensions as separate projects without needing the full source for the migration tool.

I removed this from the v2.0.0 milestone. Talked it over with the team and we think this may be a nice to have for later, but for now it's not a high priority as we're working on coding the new v2.0.0 on .NET 6.
