Hi @ymk92 Thanks for reaching out.
We (this extension developers) don't own any cloud services for this extension, but some cloud services may be involved based on your settings:
No, browser extensions won't block browser upgrading.
Yes, we are working on this extension, and will release new versions for cool features and urgent fixes. To be honest, the support is limited, the most important reason is maintainers have their own jobs. Also, we cannot give any help for some issues like data missing because we don't collect any data. Backup is always the only thing can save you. However, we are still glade to help for questions of the extension.
The extension is published to browser extension marketplace, it will auto upgrade if a new version releases. This is managed by the browser itself. We (the extension developers) own the lifecycle of this extension, and every version will be reviewed by the marketplace before it is available to the public.
Disable browser sync and cloud storage backup will prevent the extension syncing any data. If you install the extension with enterprise policy, you can also disable these settings with the policy:
For enterprise policy configuration, see https://authenticator.cc/docs/en/policy-config For Edge, see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-manage-extensions |
