The autotools release does not currently work because metis_parameters.yaml is broken.

in the metisp sub-directory, is the C-build sequence (./bootstrap, configure, make) actually required or useful?

the make command fails with: No rule to make target 'metis/metis_parameters.yaml', what is the intention with this make target?
