Visualize Corpus Data

Visualize corpus data that is preprocessed and converted to rec-emb format.

HOW TO visualize

Install docker and docker-compose.

Clone the repo and switch into this folder:

git clone https://github.com/ArneBinder/recursive-embedding.git
cd recursive-embedding/docker/tools/visualize

Rename .env.dev (or copy) to .env and adapt its parameters.

To start the REST endpoint, execute from project root:

docker-compose up

The workflow is as follows:

  1. load a dataset via http://0.0.0.0:5000/api/load?path=/root/corpora_out/<DATASET>/<CONVERSION>/forest
  2. visualize via http://0.0.0.0:5000/visualize?root_start=0&root_end=10&edge_source_blacklist=["rem:hasParseAnnotation"]

<DATASET> might by SICK_RDF and <CONVERSION>=corenlp_noner_recemb_mc2 (see your HOST_CORPORA_OUT content). Do not forget the trailing /forest!

Nodes with symbol types that have pre-trained embeddings (from GloVe) are shown in blue, other in green.

Optional:

  • install Postman
  • load this Postman Collection into Postman: File > Import > Import from Link
  • set up Postman environment variable:
    • api_endpoint=http://0.0.0.0:5000/api
