[Bug] Laggy text output

After the latest update, typing with this theme feels really laggy, almost like the refresh rate drops to around 10 FPS. It’s even more noticeable when I type quickly. Sometimes the words don’t show up until I’m done typing. No other themes have this problem, and it only happens while I’m typing. Plugins isn't causing this issue either as I'm writing here in safe mode.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open a note with this theme.
2. Start typing (lag is worse in larger files).

With theme on (I'm not smashing buttons all at once, I'm typing normally one key at a time):

I can conform it's not my PC problem as I’ve tried this on three different desktops/laptops before making this issue, and the lag happens every time. I even tested on a clean Obsidian setup on a laptop without prior installations, and it’s still laggy. Hope it gets fixed as I'm too used to this theme and I don't want to change it.

could you elaborate on your setup please? theme settings/style settings/plugins/font/pc specs?

I have the same problem, when I'm using other themes its ok, but when typing with AnuPpuccin it becomes SUPER slow.

I'm using the Style settings plugin, so you want the complete file? I'm using some custom task status, no idea if thats the problem

Same problem here, and it started as the author of this thread said, like a month ago.

My symptons are:

• Lot of lag when typing on a Task
• Little lag when typing on an empty zone
• More lag when the note is larger (i.e. lot of text) and when scrolling up or down on larger notes

When using any other theme: no problem at all under no circumstances.

I have a lot of plugins (close to 40), so I don't know which one will be the culprit (if it is one), but with the same amount of plugins, this was NOT happening a month ago.

If I do this:

• Go to "Settings > Community plugins" and I "Turn on and reload" the Restricted mode, everything works OK (no lag)
• If I come back to "Settings > Community plugins" and "Turn on community plugins", everything works almost OK (just a little lag, but almost imperceptible)
• But if I go to my Homepage and come back to any note... same lag happens again.

My Homepage is using these plugins:

• Banners
• Buttons
• Dataview (using two custom JS views: Taskido and Calendar)
• Obsidian Columns
• Tabs (within Obsidian Columns)
• Widgets (Clock one)

If you want I can give you all the list of my plugins, but as I told you, one month ago everything was running perfectly, with no lag and same plugins, and as of today, using any other theme there is no lag at all.

I was hoping to add what could be causing the problem, but I got stumped. Maybe this info is helpful.

I was also experiencing this same lag on my PC, phone, and tablet, all fairly powerful. Didn't matter if it was a long note or new note.

I opened a sandbox vault, installed the theme, and it ran no problem. I added all of my style setting tweaks, still ran fine. But it was laggy in my main vault. I turned on restricted mode in my main vault, and all of the lag went away. I turned all of my plugins back on, and all of the lag is still gone. I guess we'll see how long it takes to come back, if ever.

EDIT: ok, that didn't last long. Even with restricted mode on (and all other snippets off), all it took was going to another file, and the lag returned. But I also noticed that the lag doesn't happen for me in a normal text body, but it does happen on a bullet point. but again, this isn't replicated in the sandbox vault. So I have no idea where it's coming from.

This issue cannot be fixed if it cannot be reproduced! First of all, make sure you are using the latest version by running git pull in .obsidian/themes/Anuppuccin. If you still have the issue, create a new vault and follow the installation instructions, if you have the issue even without changing any of the default settings please give us your hardware configuration and OS as it may help pinpoint the issue. If you don't have the issue with the default settings, start changing them one by one to see which one is causing the issue.
