Currently you can see through a planet if it is mostly water/ice because there is no sense of depth when water is rendered.

As a player, when I look at a large layer of water/ice I expect to see a deep blue ocean not stars and planets beneath the water/ice.
Technical Specification
This will probably be accomplished through some sort of shader? Not sure though. Perhaps calculate the max-depth of the block based on its neighbors when a chunk is rendered?
