@Jayveeleo029 Yes, sa LAN 4 yung bagong router kasi nandoon yung IP address na mangagaling sa CGNAT ng Converge.
Yung LAN 1,2, at 3 puwede din kumonect, kaso naka connect sila sa internal router ng Converge, bale yung mga devices sa bagong router at sa internat router ng Converge ay hindi magtatagpo (bale hindi sila magkikita sa LAN) at seperate yung IP address (bale lalabas sa Converge dalawang modem ang nakaconnect sa isang bahay, which is bad) kaya hindi advisable na gamitin ang LAN 1,2, at 3 at mas magandang patayin yung omci_ipv4_dhcp_1 para hindi ka ma red flag ng Converge.

Ang galing mo nmn sobra sir salamat sa info. Bale meron kc akong maliit na p2p and hotspot business bale sa lan 1 ng converge nka connect main router ko dto sa bahay tpos lan 2 switch ko tpos nka connect sa switch na yun routers din at mga p2p antenna.. As in sinalpak ko lng mga yan walang gaya ng config mo. Sa gnawa ko po ba bale nalabas sa converge laht ng devices ko? Lalo na yung nsa switch? If lalabas nga may praan po ba pra hnd makita? Yes magkakaroon lahat ng internet ang mga nakasaksak doon sa modem niyo. Ang problema lang ma do-double NAT kasi hindi naka bridge mode, naka connect pa doon sa router ng modem ng Converge.

Hi sir last nalang po salamat talaga, nag try ako i disable yung DHCP gamit yung trick nyo sa taas na gawin WAN from DEFAULT sa DCHP PORT SERVICD kaso sa bagong router failed to get IP ADDRESS padin.. Need ko po ba i static yung sa bagong router? Kc nag try ako i static gamit yung dating address nya din failed to obtain IP ADDRESS padin.. Need ba nasa IP RANGE Padin ng converge? Saamin naman po kasi gumagana, baka nasa lugar po kayo ng Converge na stricto sila sa mga naka bridge mode, kaya i-try niyo po i MAC cloning yung sa bagong router niyo, i clone niyo ang MAC ng modem ng Converge ipasok sa bagong router.

No need, DHCP ang CGNAT ng Converge.

Need ba nasa IP RANGE Padin ng converge?

No need din. I try niyo po ang MAC cloning.

Hi. I did the delete method and I can't get any ip address after. I tried to restore the config as well and I still can't get a connection even in route mode. Am I effed at this point?

@sandboxhaze Where did you connect after you use delete method? In the ONU or the bridged router? Of course you will not get an IP address on the ONU after you deleted it, but you should get IP address on the bridged router.

What I mean is, I was able to have an IP address on my router before I did the delete method.

I set my wan to static so I can access the onu and did the delete method. And then when I set it back to automatic (dhcp mode) it cannot get any ip address. So I thought, I should restore the backed up config so that at least in route mode the ONU will have an IP but sad to say it's not getting an IP address. Even 12 hrs. Long story short I had to ask Converge to reconfigure my router. I'm not sure if this matters but my ONU is F670L.

Another question is, I'm having issues when I'm setting LAN 4 to WAN (disable method). I can't get an IP address via bridged but when it's in default mode, it's 50/50. Either I get an IP from converge or the IP range or the ONU (192.168.1.X)

Nevermind this, I just needed to restart my router. Anyway, thanks for your guide I was able to do bridge mode. I'll just stick with the disable method.

@sandboxhaze Yes, you just need to restart your ONU if you messed up with omci_ipv4_dhcp_1 as it will automatically reset to default settings. I recommend also just to stick with the disable method.

Do not factory reset Converge modem ever, since na factory reset mo na, na backup mo ba yung configuration bago mo sinunod yung tutorial? Kung oo, i-restore mo yung configuration. Nasa settings ang authentication kaya di dapat i-factory reset ang Converge modem.

I think Asus AX3000 does not support multiple IP address, kaya di mo ma access yung modem GUI behind router normally. Ang magagawa mo nalang is konomect sa LAN 1-3 or i set mo yung IP address ng Asus AX3000 sa the same subnet ng modem, pero mawawalan ka ng internet.

Oo, kahit i-delete mo yung omci_ipv4_dhcp_1, babalik pa rin, failsafe iyan na ginawa ng Converge para di magreklamo mga customers.
Hassle talaga, ang magagawa mo talaga is either konomect sa LAN 1-3 or i set mo yung IP address ng Asus AX3000 sa the same subnet ng modem.

For example: since ang LAN IP na ginagamit ng AX3000 mo is 192.168.50.1, at assuming na ang LAN IP ng modem mo ay 192.168.1.1, after mag ka brownout, i-set mo yung WAN IP ng AX3000 to 192.168.1.2, bali pag ginawa mo iyon, ma-aaccess mo na yung mo modem GUI sa 192.168.1.1, at ma di-disable mo na yung omci_ipv4_dhcp_1, tapos i-balik mo nalang sa DHCP after mong ma disable yung omci_ipv4_dhcp_1, sa method na ito, di mo na kailangan konomect sa LAN 1-3, kahit sa LAN 4, gagana siya.

@AnimMouse Any luck getting this work or have you encountered anyone that got static IP working with this method? Im assigned a static IP from Converge and everything works fine for DHCP but bridging fails on my router side, using a PepLink Balancer 20. @marfillaster method doesnt work as well

Your modem does not have omci_ipv4_dhcp_1? Where do you get internet from? On your screenshot it shows TR069, TR069 is a mechanism for Converge to remotely manage modems, not to provide internet. Is the TR069 is where your internet is coming from?

Can you screenshot this instead: Status > Network Interface > WAN Connection, so that I can know where is the internet is coming. I have never encountered Converge modem without omci_ipv4_dhcp_1.

It seems like TR069 is where the internet is coming from, since it is connected, now we know how to bridge mode it.

IPTV VLAN ID must be the same as your TR069, in this case it is 100.
Disconnect first the TR069 by unchecking Enable VLAN on TR069 just like on step 6.
On your router, input WAN settings there like your static IP, IP Gateway, and DNS from your modem.

So it seems I didnt need to bridge, the modem just does it automatically? no need to bridge. I just set the static IP on the 3rd party router WAN settings, and it just works. I did not clone MAC as this causes collision. My setup is Modem -> router -> WAP/switch. If anyone is in the same boat just ask a question ill try to help out

You need to bridge, by setting the VLAN ID of IPTV to the same VLAN as your TR069, in this case it is 100, you already performed bridge mode on your LAN4 port. Since you are on static IP, there is no DHCP to get IP address, so you need to set the static IP on your router WAN settings.
To prevent MAC address collision, you need to disable the TR069 by unchecking Enable VLAN, it is recommended to clone MAC address since Converge uses MAC address for bandwidth limiter.

Anyway, I'm glad to see my guide helping you perform bridge mode.

Normal lng ba na magdegrade yung speed nya?, na clone ko nman wan mac and do all the steps, I did the recomonded and alternative method, still, nagdegrade yung speed nya above 200 mbps before after the bridge below 100 mbps nlng. Im using asus Rt-AX86U

Nope, hindi dapat mag degrade ang speed mo. Since below 100 mbps, kindly check kung baka sa wiring iyan kung naka 100 mbps lang ang link speed doon sa connection ng router at modem. Punta ka sa Status > User Interface > Ethernet tapos check mo speed doon kung naka 1000M.

Make sure 1 Gigabit link speed ang LAN port ng third party router mo and at least CAT5e LAN cable.

Check mo sa Windows PC Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet kung ang link speed is 100/100 (Mbps). If so, try mo idisable Ethernet adapter mo in Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Ethernet > Disable, then re-enable mo lang ulit and check again the link speed if it changes to 1000/1000 (Mbps).

Another workaround is to unplug the LAN cable from your PC and router, then plug them back in.

Thank you for this. I was able to successfully set this up via the Guide.
I followed the recommended route of disabling VLAN for the OMCI instead of the release/delete method.

I am trying to setup the steps in Connect to bridged modem behind router section.
I am not network-savvy and I use RT-AC86U router.
Would you know steps for me to access converge modem via this router? Thank you!

Your router does not support multiple IP address, so in order to connect to the bridged modem behind router, you have to temporarily change the WAN IP address of your router to 192.168.10.2 (make sure you have changed modem's LAN IP address to 192.168.10.1) and you can now access the modem at 192.168.10.1, but you will lose internet connection until you change your WAN IP address of the router to dynamic or DHCP back again.

Or just buy a router that can support multiple IP address at its WAN interface.

So I've been successful with assigning static IP whenever I need to re-do some of the steps in your guide.
However, my router seems to have a factory hardware defect RT-AC86U where 2.4 GHz is totally failing at times.
I would have to reboot and all - All my research leads towards solutions that doesn't solve the problem.
I'm looking to get a new one as this is already out of warranty.
Do you have any recommendation that supports multiple IP address so I can accessible Converge ONU from the 3rd Party router?

@athlosmaster Any MikroTik router, router using pfsense, or OpenWrt supports multiple WAN IP address. For me personally, I'm currently using MikroTik hAP ac3 as my main router at home.

This guide was very helpful, was able to configure the new ZTE F670L v10 replacement modem supplied by PLDT but instead of using LAN4 shown here I used LAN3 instead. Also added another WAN interface on my OpenWrt router to easily manage the modem from within the LAN. Every time there is a power outage I had to restart the WAN2 interface of the router because there is no internet if I don't even if the router gets the assigned ip coming from the modem.

Before the recent outage/network upgrade by PLDT I used to get 400Mbps but now I am only getting 100Mbps. I tried cloning the MAC address but it does not work the router can't an ip address.

Try reseating your LAN cable between your router and PC.

Thanks but this has nothing to do with the bandwidth drop. I also get the same bandwidth even without the bridge so most likely a provider issue. It's no use talking to their customer support, they will just say bandwidth is not guaranteed. I am more interested as to why I need to restart the WAN2 interface after a power outage/modem reboot.

@madapaka66 I haven't experienced PLDT since the DSL days, so I don't know what could be the problem. You said before the network upgrade you are getting 400 Mbps, can you confirm if you still get 400 Mbps by connecting directly to the modem itself without bridge mode?

Probably the same reason on Converge, a MAC address collision is happening during boot up.

Hey thanks for the tutorial. I followed every step, that is making the Bridge Connection type following the github tutorial you nicely added.

However, disabling the DHCP one and using it's VLAN with the said Bridge Connection doesn't do anything. I guess they're routing the internet through the PPPoe one, and it does require the ISP login and password (which I have, and which I tried to input in my second router to no avail).

Any help on this front?

Done it. But when I connect to LAN4, the internet simply don't work, but when it's connected to any other LAN port, it works fine.

Can you try recreating the Bridge interface, but instead of INTERNET in Service List, try using INTERNET_VoIP_TR069 instead.

Couldn't set INTERNET_VoIP_TR069. When I create bridge, it defaults to Internet and I can't change it.

Yes it will work, the only difference is the UI of the configuration, but it will work if you followed the exact settings.

It seems like you need to add another WAN connection with type as Bridge connection, you can try this tutorial for that. I currently can't try that since I don't have the new F679W modem.
