What is the current behavior?

When an event is created and the Slack checkbox is checked in the UI, a channel on Slack where the details of that event is to be posted is selected in the front-end. This event is not posted on the Slack's channel

If the current behavior is a bug, please provide the steps to reproduce and if possible a minimal demo of the problem via [repl][repl].

What is the expected behavior?

During the creation of an event, when the Slack checkbox is checked and a Slack channel is selected, the details of that event should be posted to that Slack channel
