It would be great to include a text file either here, on s3, or both that specifies in detail the set of changes in each new release (for the current release that might include a short explanation of the taxonomy updates and perhaps other changes I'm not aware of).

excited to see this in the latest tagged release here! would still be nice to add in an explanation of what changed in the data/metadata between the latest past releases (20230830 to 20231215), which could probably just follow the same model by adding a new tagged release back in the history.
