confusion about robot constrains

According to the rules in the given link https://air-hockey-challenge.robot-learning.net/game-rules. The rule 6 says
"Mallets may not cross the center line when striking the puck." So I wonder if there is a specific way, you expect from us that we should solve this problem regarding to the constraints or are we allowed to solve this problem in a more creative way we choose?

Hello, these are the general rules for the game of air hockey. However, in our environmental setup, the robot cannot reach the middle of the table.
So I don't think you need to worry about this in general.
In any case, if the end-effector is close to the middle of the table, the robot will be close to the singularity and it will be very difficult to manipulate.
