Summary

The developer of PHP has decided to not support non-LTS releases. Look at special implementation for Ubuntu 23 Lunar for installing PHP.

Description

Developer of PHP has decided to not support non-LTS releases, which means that the typical steps for installing PHP via apt will not work. PHP is possible to install, but will require an alternative set of instructions in order to be done properly.

Note

Ubuntu 23.10 will ship with PHP 8.2
