"Glasses" never appear when playing this mode

I've noticed when playing A3 Wasteland as well as other iterations that the pre-set glasses you choose for your profile are wiped, why?

Because in the past they would get duplicated a hundred times if you tried to pick one from a corpse, and you'd have thousands of glasses littering combat hotpots. Hence why they are wiped. Plus, they take up valuable space in the inventory menu when trying to loot a corpse amidst a battle.

Would there be a method to wipe them from the corpse when you die instead? because I value customization and would like to be able to use the customization I've applied to my character.
