With 2023Q4 finished, the previous Q4 "goal" language is outdated. However, the ideas generated still need to be acted upon. I am reworking this issue to serve as an epic related to building a "Community of Hub Champions"

2i2c nourishes villages of scientific communities built around JupyterHub deployments. One of those communities should be a "Community of 2i2c Hub Champions" that serves for a way of exchange of ideas between communities. Membership in this community includes all the hub administrators from our community partners and all the 2i2c team members.

The goals, objectives, metrics for success, and initial plans for this community need to be addressed in

This community is based around the JupyterHub https://showcase.2i2c.cloud and the adjacent JupyterBook site https://2i2c.org/community-showcase . Development of that new JupyterBook is covered by

Scientific communities are often brought together around a 'digital watering hole' where there is shared data or resources. For the 2i2c Community Showcase, that resource is usage data of all of other hubs through

  As an authenticate site, the 2i2c Community Showcase allows the 2i2c team to understand usage patterns of our platform and, where appropriate, transmit that information back to the Hub Champions to give insight into their communities.

A community can be described by the methods and spaces available for conversations and interactions to take place. These will be explored iteratively in

Community building could be achieved by host monthly meeting on topics of relevance to many communities or be creating monthly blog post articles. Some potential topics to investigate include

@colliand and @haroldcampbell -- the above comment summarizes 'community success' initiatives that I am considering. It is not an exhaustive list. The items need to be prioritized relative to all other tasks that need our attention/capacity. Ball-park, I'd suggest that this is about 2 months of work for @jnywong and @jmunroe to complete.
