Describe the bug
When i upload various files with toggles (in the example file i uploaded here, there are 33 toggles and some nested toggles) i get (again, with the data i attached) either 12 or about 50 toggles, depending on the settings i choose.
When i view the cards on Anki, (with the proper settings it generates 12 cards), it seems to choose toggles at random and even seems to not know how to separate between front and back of the card, sometimes splitting the text next to a toggle in notion into both front AND back.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. just upload the .zip (this is the corresponding notion page: https://www.notion.so/linusgoldgruber/1-Angeborenes-Adaptives-Immunsystem-1-42d810013da7477d8a923e09f65b4de3?pvs=4) and generate cards.
  2. settings can all be disabled, in my case there are nested toggles, so max of one toggle per card has to be disabled

Expected behaviour
Take top level toggles as front and the content as back of the cards. I have done this for years now, so it shouldn't be a rookie mistake (i hope frfr)

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: IOS
  • Browser Chrome
  • Version: recent

Thanks for the detailed report 👍🏾 I looked through your zip file, unfortunately the link to the notion page is not public. The problem here is that you are using Markdown. The support for Markdown has changed the last two years, I know it does not work the same way as before. At some point we even removed it due too many people complaining about how buggy it was.

The current state is that we do have preliminary support for markdown and CSV. They do not work like you expect. I have not gotten around to writing documentation or making a video on it. I also want to improve the support but time is a limited resource.

Here are your options for now

  1. Use HTML file upload (Select Export format HTML in Notion)
  2. Use the fallback bullet detection syntax, added in feat: adding fallbacks for bullet lists #1180

Anyways I will leave your issue open regardless since this is something that should be fixed.
