PCIe Card Readers

Command Timeouts on certain RTS5227

Category: Device Support
Affected Machines: Lenovo Thinkpad T440/450
Description: Cards are not recognized and the kernel log reports a bunch of timeout errors.
Workaround: N/A as kernel logs provided by users are incomplete.

Card Initialization Failures on RTL8411B

Category: Device Support
Description: Cards cannot be initialized due to the early probe failure (ACMD41).

Card Tuning Failures on RTS5260

Category: Device Support
Description: UHS-I SDHC/XC cards cannot be tuned due to the CMD19 failures.
Workaround: Add the boot argument -iosd3v3 to initialize all cards at 3.3V.

USB Card Readers

Cannot Fetch Card Status on RTS5139

Category: Device Support
Description: The card status register always reports that no card is inserted.

All Card Readers

Card Ejected After Waked Up

Category: Power Management
Description: If users put the computer into sleep while the card remains inserted, the card will be ejected by the storage subsystem when the computer wakes up.
Workaround: Users must remove the card from the card slot and insert it back after the computer wakes up.
